Not gonna keep mine; I prefer my coffee a lot hotter. Also the reservoirs are too big and wasteful for mostly single servings of latte or americano every now and then. I'm in Orange County, CA if anyone missed out and wants to take it off my hands before I return it. PM me.
I'll say this- ever since we got the machine, my teenage kids have been drinking a lot more milk. It was a struggle everyday to get them to drink their milk. But they are now hooked to their daily lattes. I sneak in some extra milk thanks to the large container.

On my machine, I'm not sure that the knob even matters. It produces plenty of froth no matter where the knob is set. My first unit produced no froth no matter where i set the knob. It produced only hot steamed milk.

The coffee from the machine tastes pretty good. But quality control on this product has been atrocious.
Yep, it seems like a few people have gotten ones with the messed up knob that doesn't actually adjust anything. The one in the vid definitely seems to make a difference, but of course that one ends up overflowing everywhere on max, so probably not ideal either way. And yeah, QC often seems to be lacking in these bargain products. You can get something kind of neat for a pretty low price, as long as you're OK with dealing with some quirks here and there. You could probably try to swap it out for another one, but it may be a similar luck of the draw again.

Saw this in the store today and it looks to be an exact copy of the Gourmia. Except it is much more expensive. Reviews aren't that great.

Looks like the interface is different … and they seem to have gotten rid of the manual froth dial completely on that one. Probably not substantial enough difference to justify the much higher price though, considering the reviews don't seem that impressive.

You are right - it doesn't seem to have the manual frother dial. The layout of the interface is slightly different but it is the same set of choices with the same icons. The form factor, the finish, the size etc, including such things as the drip tray and the milk tube, looked exactly the same. I am pretty sure the same company makes both of them.

Both cappuccino and latte are mixed with excessive water because of the frother. Does anyone feel the same?
Nope. But it did happen to me once when the nozzle was loose in the frother. Seems like the machine defaults to water if it can't extract milk from the frother.

Minor complaint still. This coffee machine is fantastic and has made latte making a breeze. Bravo for $50

That's usually the case. Likely it's from the same factory in China and they just omit one component with a different front to give it the appearance of a different product.

It's like microwaves.

At first I was extremely disappointed and I questioned if the portafilter basket was defective. Today I ground my beans using the finest setting of my grinder (I was previously using a coarse grind for my coffee maker) and it turned out very well. I didn't know much about making espresso so this wasn't clear to me, but now I see that a real fine grind gets you a lot more flavour.
Yeah, it's a cheap portafilter. But so are all espresso machines sub $200 except for Delonghi ones.

Unless you're making your own grinds, if you're just buying store coffee for shots mixed with milk, I doubt you'll taste a difference.

Just tested mine and the expresso light is the only one that will light up on the display. Guess I'm returning it
Push the milk in all the way. It's a tight fit but you'll get used to it.

You're being downvoted because you didn't elaborate. What exactly makes them "trash"?

I finally got my coffee maker two days ago, due to it arriving at a relative's address and them not being able to get it to me for over a month. I have thoroughly been enjoying this machine so far. I've only made double and single cappuccinos and lattes but they've been coming out great! No problems with the frother or anything else. I'm stoked that I got this for $43 (I used the promo code). Even if it only lasts for a few more drinks it'll have paid for itself, though obviously I'm hoping it'll last much longer than that!

Just started on my machine. It's a bit finicky, but does work. Will take a bit of trial & error, especially w/ frothing modes. Overall pleased for $50.
