I also bought the blink cameras and honestly don't really like them. They record for 30 seconds only when movement is in front of them. It sends your phone a movement notification which can be annoying. The other option is to turn movement recording off or shut off notifications. It's tricky to not have them recording frequently when placed in front of your house which drains the battery. Lithium AA batteries are also expensive and I had to change mine every 2 months. Viewing the recordings on my phone from the sync module is extremely slow and painful- especially when you're trying to review 10 or more 30 second videos. Deleting a video takes about 15 seconds. The sync module also has trouble recording 2 cameras videos at once. I've noticed missing recordings or cut off recordings. Maybe your needs are different but I would prefer cameras that record all the time.

The recording issue is definitely irritating - aside from it taking forever to load when live viewing or whatever, you also can't access live view WHILE the camera is in the process of recording. I pretty much set up cameras randomly around the house when we leave for vacation but always have one posted above our door to record an additional angle and during our sleeping hours.

So they sent me a replacement door bell because they have "upgraded" the firmware. Same issues. Unfortunately not very consistent. My next move is to connect to the electrical power of the old door bell.
