The Speed MP ($149 before 30% discount) is an all-around performer but only 4 1/2 grip size is left. The same gen Speed Team is lighter for beginners, available in 4 3/8 grip size as well, and weight can be added later if needing more swing weight later.

Also the Boom line is easy to use.

Oh really tempting in the prestige. Has anyone found it worthwhile upgrading from, say, the graphene prestige from several years ago?

For all those questions, I would advise everyone to use their demo service first and try rackets. Although Speed Pro is a nice racket, it may not suit your game. The same applies to Boom or Prestige as well.
For me, Speed Pro did not work well.

Perfect timing. Needed a new racquet and had really liked the head radical team when I demoed it. It wasn't as good as a deal as the radical mp so I got that one instead. Hopefully they aren't drastically different.

My wife used to play in high school but it's been a decade or two since. She was interested in picking it back up again as a hobby so I wanted to surprise her with a racket, but I have no idea how to choose. All these grip sizes and string options are confusing! Any recommendations?

The MP is a bit different with more weight and smaller head size than the Team.

Hard to be successful with a surprise racquet. Perhaps get her frame and grip preferences under the guide of helping you get started. Stringing can be done later.

Check out reviews such as the TW review and customer reviews. tt.tenniswarehouse.com forums are often a good resource as well.

Most frames can be bought with free synthetic gut 16 stringing, in the drop down box for string group, choose string specials, look at the bottom of the select a atring list for synthetic gut. IMO prices for other string jobs are reasonable. I know some rather get the unstrung frame and instead string themselves or use their trusted local stringer.
