Only $185 from Best Buy in open box - excellent condition. That's a considerable discount on top of a fine discount. There are worse conditions available too, but not at a price differential that makes it overly worthwhile. The open box - excellent is available in a few stores near me, but it's also available for shipping, at least at the moment.

For those of you new to Best Buy, just look below the price where it says, "Open-box: from $160.99."

I swear these things have brainwashing power with those LEDs. Family has one of the larger ones for backyard parties and it's so awesome I want one too, even though I have no need for one.

I've been looking at the 310 version but it's 400$. Any first hand comparisons. Hoping to find it on sale for 250-300$ this holiday season. It's just a want not a need so trying not to over splurge. I like that the 310 has wheels and a handle upgrade from the original 300. Thoughts?

Yes, it will be obvious that it is open box. It will be an open box with Best buy tape on it and even beaten up packaging. In my case, the speaker itself was not wrapped up in plastic so it was obvious.

Just received my "excellent condition" open box item. It was all dented up and missing the cord. Best Buy customer service was less than helpful. I hope you all had better luck.

would have been good if you were able to get one when brandsmart had it for shipping at 299...they only have them in store now at that price. If it's not something you're in a rush to get then maybe it's good to wait, plus there's talks about the 510, not sure how it will affect the 310 prices. But things usually go sale a lot. never had the original but the 310 sounds great
