Bought these last year same price, same time. I don't think I opened them.
My tween daughter wants a pair of BT, should probably find them and give them to her.

Question is, do I buy another paid for backup?

Has anyone actually been using these and are they decent?
https://www.rtings.com/headphones...e-wireless

They have a bass-heavy sound profile using the default EQ, 'JLab Signature'. Mixes have extra rumble, punch, and boom, but it's well-balanced overall, so instruments and lead vocals are present and clear.

....

Having used Jlab for a few years, definitely the sound profile for the price point. Makes your ears perk up and beats of music shine through with some excitement. Definitely one of my favorite non-wired earphones.

Definitely no wonder Jlab took over the sub-$100 market share from Sony in the US market.

That said, these are throw-aways.
Meaning they'll break over the years - cheap button actuators, etc. But since no earbud battery was designed to be user-replaceable, that's fine. No need for the unit to last longer than a few years.

....

These aren't the highest quality earbuds, so at night in bed, if you play music or podcasts at the lowest volume level, you will hear slight static noise in quiet passages. Not noticeable at normal daily use.

....

Android has a hidden developer menu setting in the OS.

Settings - go thru whatever steps needed to unlock Developer Options in your version - Bluetooth section - ENABLE "Disable Absolute Volume".

This will allow you to properly adjust volume on the Phone separately from the earbuds to get the very quietest and loudest volumes.

If you do not do this, you'll Bitch about why the earbud's lowest volumes are too loud, or why they can't get loud enough outdoors.

Remember, both volume settings must be adjusted once this setting is enabled - phone and earbuds.

Bought multiple pairs last year. Best bang for the buck. This price is actually insane for how good these buds are.

This is my current goto pair of headphones. The sound quality is good. I get a little bit connection interruption to my phone here and there, but it's a relative minor issue that doesn't bother me. At this price, I plan to buy two more pairs as backups. Can't be beat for $10.

Also, the best part is that the charging cable is connected to the headphone case. So no more looking for the cords.

I got these way back probably 2 or 3 years ago. The audio is fine and they last a good while. The mic is pretty horrible

I've had these for a couple of years too... Sound is very good but obviously won't compete with high end. Can confirm mic is not good. At regular price these are a great deal, at this price they're a steal

I have way too many earbuds I run marathons and I listen to music and podcasts while training and I run a bone conduction headphones during race day the best of earbuds personally I've ever heard are quite comfort twos. These are headphones that I leave in my car all the time in the event that I forget my headphones so when I go to the gym on days where it's raining or too hot outside to train I'll run on the treadmill and listen to these they're good sounding they're not terrible and they're not great they're just good headphones I'd say $30 headphones max. Are people looking for really good headphones go with the Samsung buds e which are 69 bucks I believe direct from Samsung or Best buy one of them if you're looking for a good set of headphones to just use for anything and everything you can't go wrong with these they fit great with lots of different ear tips and the sound is good not terrible not "tinny" but good.

I'm dealing with about a vertigo this morning I don't have my glasses on and I'm using voice to text so if that came across wrong hopefully you understood what I was trying to say

See Rtings reviews, Speech + Subway Noise Audio Samples.

The problem with all these earbuds is the Mic is far away from the mouth, so even top-end models can't clearly record speech when a noisy subway train passes by.

https://www.rtings.com/headphones...y-wireless

Compare vs a headset with a boom Mic
https://www.rtings.com/headphones...l-wireless

You can use the TABLE feature to find earbuds that have better performance than the jlab.
