Was a huge skeptic about this thing and we did not plan on getting one, but we did, and I am absolute believer.

For anyone who doesn't know how it works. There is a microphone in it and depending on how loud the noise your baby makes is, it will respond by rocking at different speeds and playing varying levels of white noise to calm the baby down. It's actually incredible how quickly it responds and then goes back to a gentle or no rocking as soon as the baby calms down. There were countless nights when without it we would have had to get up and calm the baby down, but this thing did it instead. Ended up getting much more sleep over the 5ish months we used it.

I think we bought ours for around this much and sold it for 900 maybe. If you buy one in good condition used and don't destroy it, you will most likely be able to get all or most of your money back.

We plan on getting another one if whenever we have another kid.

If you end up having another baby, they're really not supposed to be sleeping through the night for the first several days at the very least. You're supposed to wake them up at least every 3 hours to feed them.

Oh, and congrats on the baby! Mine turns 1 week old tomorrow.

Babies are to be fed every 3 hours. What's the point of this if babies sleep 8 hrs straight and starve ?
Is there any data supporting this product apart from SDers

First baby = lets get the snoo so our baby is as comfortable as possible, look at baby and tell it good night
2nd baby = toss it in the crib like an empty can of beer, say good luck, put ear plugs in

You are absolutely correct. This product has been starving babies for over a decade and all of the people claiming to have had success with it are just lying. /s

For us we were quite poor as most new parents tend to be.

We used the Fisher Price Rock & Play that plugged in extensively for all three of our kids. I think it was $60 at the time. Later found out it's not available because apparently it can kill babies, recalled.

There must be something more affordable than this.

This whole thread seems suspect. Just saying.

Reminds me of getting my first baby dressed. Would ever so delicately put his tiny arms in his shirt while afraid of breaking his little fingers. Second baby is like when you're stuffing all your clothes in your suitcase as you're rushing to make the return flight home after vacation.

this thread just shows how many retarded "new parents" are in slickdeals that will fall prey to these companies. like uppababy $1000 stroller was an example

and when someone say something g negative about the product you get downvoted like 30-50 times. very suspecting. like these companies hired people to do it. or they hired slickdeal mods to do the dirty work

This is not your typical SD thread. Full of well written reviews and zero punchlines.

One persons opinion . . used for baby #2 and is one of the few baby industrial products worth the hype. Bought used and then sold for about what I paid. Worked for us but to each his own.

FYI Amazon just enabled the 15% completion discount for this item, bringing the total down to $936.50. The price of a new unit likely won't ever get lower than this.
How did u do this?
