Worth getting this if I just purchased a router and messing around with it?

IMO probably not but everyone is different. This is a good way to get a bunch of mediocre bits, more than half of which you'll never use, and the ones you do use will be replaced by better quality versions because, again, mediocre bits. My advice is to buy quality bits as you need them.

Probably good as a starter set to find out which bits you'll actually use. Should you wear a bit out, you can then purchase a high-quality bit to replace it.

I think it's worth grabbing a cheap set like this for 2 reasons:

1. You'll find out which bits you use most often and you can then upgrade, instead of buying expensive bits out of the gate and never using them.
2. You'll have a bunch of random bits that seem useless, then one day 2 years from now you'll need that stupid bit for just one cut and you'll have it without having to spend $30 on a good version of it.

Amazon deal is dead. Lowes is still active it seems active but can't do in store pick up so kinda kills the deal when it's $70 shipped.
