This has been rock solid for me for over a year now. Way better than orbi.

I paid the same price last black Friday for the 5300 (same model I believe).

Best router I ever owned. I am getting very good speed all around the house. No drop connections ever.

Only complaint is the app requires 2 bucks monthly for the additional features.

Going to buy this as a gift. Purchased from Costco basically when it came out to replace an ubiquiti amplifi hd system.

Don't think this has had to be restarted a single time, nothings ever randomly disconnected—about 25 items connected at all times. Practically full speed throughout the entire home.

Suggestion for those installing mesh systems without extra Ethernet ports throughout the house, go to fast . Com or another speed test site, after installing the base. Go as far as you can away in opposite directions while testing the speed to find the best places to put the mesh points. For me, I placed them in areas that had about 95% of the speed as being next to the main router. It reached significantly farther than I expected.

The 6ghz wireless back haul seems to be completely game changing.

Orbi was better for me. I had a better range with it then my tp link more reliable and consistent speed. I found that out with my wifi security camera not always working anymore

Can I use MoCA adapters with these since I'm not wired for cat?
Yes you can. This is how I have a pair of these set up to handle my backhaul. Node to MoCA, MoCA to house coaxl, to MoCA adapter by second node, into second node. CAT6 wire from nodes to MoCA adapters. Just remember to disconnect the coaxl feed from the street if you plan to use the houses cable.

Does this model also have the WAN/LAN problem as internet flickers?
I've had these for years and have never experienced that.

Can you use separate SSIDs (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) with these?

What speeds are you getting away from satellites?
I have fiber with 650x650 speeds and get every bit of that speed wirelessly. I use a wired gigabit backhaul for every unit, though.

I have the same one and one of the units died. It will reboot as soon as a device connects to it.

Can anyone speak of this router?

https://slickdeals.net/f/17072107-asus-rt-ax88u-pro-ax6000-dual-band-wifi-6-extendable-gaming-router-dual-2-5g-ports-rangeboost-plus-port-forwarding-subscription-free-network-security-instant-guard-vpn-230?v=1&src=SiteSearch

I am looking for a router since I bought an asus one and very disappointed with it. It would disconnect randomly. Contacted Asus gave me some setting still happened I don't want to deal with it so I am consider the Costco deal or this one feedback appreciated.

I don't recommend the Orbi. After paying $350 ($500 when not on discount) they still charge subscription charges for simple things like parental controls. TP link provides them for free

Would that be faster than running them wireless?
backbone on the 6ghz is wireless as well !

I have been running the 6ghz as mixture "for backbone and for other eligible devices" and I did not notice any speed restriction compared to when I used to run the 6ghz dedicated for the nodes to connect.

Hmmm... What extra features? I hadn't seen anyone mention this before. TIA.
