Not a bad monitor, but I would say pass on this one. I bought this about a year ago and it looks great in bright scenes, but anything dark leaves me feeling duped. There are only a few zones on this monitor so as soon as you have a mouse cursor on a dark scene, it's just crazy glow all over whatever section of the monitor you're on with the cursor. I use it for mixed use; light gaming and office use and it's been fine; I just really hate how it handles anything dark.

This is why I'm waiting on the new qd oled 4k monitors releasing soon.

So how does it go on sale at 12am tomorrow when that puts it on a Saturday? I thought that they didn't take orders on the Sabbath?

Looks like this 31.5" monitor power consumption is typical 85W. Are most 31.5" 4k IPS 144Hz monitor use this much power?

Typical: 85.0 W
Maximum: 200.0 W

Just notice ASUS ROG Strix 32" HDMI 2.1 DSC Gaming Monitor (XG32UQ) - 4K UHD (3840 x 2160), Fast IPS, 160Hz, 1ms, typical use <51W.

Mini led panels are known to be pigs. Is the ROG one mini-led?

I think both the LG Ultragear 32GQ950-B and the ASUS ROG Strix XG32UQ are IPS? I don't remember seeing mini led anywhere in both specs.

Mini led is just the backlight formst, often combined with an IPS panel. But if you don't remember it probably wasn't in there. It's been a bit of a marketing hook for a while.

I would say Samsung! I haven't tried the G7, but did the G8 and this monitor, and Samsung has a wow factor, while this is just another monitor.

Samsung Neo G7 32" 4k has VA panel while this one has IPS panel. Most SDers at this price point prefer IPS but there are Pros and Cons for both.

Seems like the main decision is would you prefer VA or IPS panel.

As for something that has similar spec to this LG, if you google about it, people also talk about ASUS ROG Strix 32" XG32UQ - 4K UHD (3840 x 2160), Fast IPS, 160Hz, 1ms .

For places that electricity is very expensive like CA, the typical power consumption for LG 32GQ950-B is 85W while for ASUS XG32UQ, it is 51W.
