If you've got an older phone (the Pixel 6 pro only gives you a ludicrous $66 trade-in value!), this deal is still decent, but not great.
But I think that this is the best deal out there for someone upgrading from a Pixel 7 Pro to a Pixel 8 Pro, as long as they add a line (which doesn't actually cost any more with the by the gig plan than the initial $10 set-up fee) as long as you add a new line.
The upgrade ends up being free (after monthly credits).
$1000 - $200 sale discount - $500 promo - $300 trade-in = $0.
That's the best deal yet for this specific upgrade path, unless you value the free Pixel Watch 2 from the previous preorder deal at over $200. (It retails for $350, but you can't sell it for much more than $200, with so many others who got the same free watch trying to sell them, too.)
Pixel 6 Pro gives $100 TIV (compared to $300 a month ago) and is worth $200 to $250 MV. Bad trade-in.
Pixel 7 Pro has $300 TIV but a MV of $350 to $400. Not as bad as the 6 Pro...but it's like paying a person for YOU to give THEM a loan.

I did get the $300 off Smartwatch reward email yesterday... "Get this reward to treat yourself and your wrist to a new timepiece. You can get $300 off an eligible smartwatch while supplies last."
Terrible reckless experience. JUST NOT WORTH IT. Spent almost 150-200 hours over 10 months, but didn't give up. Check their BBB review on this scam
