2. Min storage is 256, so there is this $100 upcharge for extra storage. However I cannot justify $200 upcharge from iPhone 14 Pro Max.

In the past I called before getting a line to the internet team, they asked me to call after getting a mobile connection. I then called after opening a new mobile line, then they internet team told me they can't apply the discount, that I have to open the line through internet team for mobile. It was very frustating and they were just sending me in circles..

Ps: Customer care is in no way better that us reading the fine prints.
Discounts : Bogo (for 2nd line) $30/month * 12 = $360 (cannot be stacked with the otherwise internet monthly discount of $10/m *12 = 120 still < $360) + $830/ phone ( additional $330 instead of season deal of std $500 )
( I would not suggest trade in at a value standpoint )

If I don't have to go through the (small) trouble and cost of porting in a fake number from GV, I would just take the new number.
My plan is to then do what others have said is doable and go to the store and have them "swap" the lines to the new phone. And ultimately cancel the new line once the bill credits have moved over.
Want to do this same thing for my son's phone later in the month for Christmas.
