So if I try this and get it to work then what happens with our Iphone 12? I guess it just becomes a dead phone then as without a sim associated with it there would be no # tied to it. I'm still not 100% sure this would work or if it would be worth the risk of losing the device credits.
As majority found out here, the number associated with new phone can't be transferred. You can transfer, but you will lose the device credits. Only few people had luck transferring the new number to another phone by seeing the posts here. The dual SIM may help only to keep the old number on the new phone.

So how does that work to have two e Sims active at the same time I can receive phone calls from both phone numbers?

You receive a call - it will show which SIM# the calling coming to - SIM1/SIM2. When you make a call, you can select which SIM to use to make the call. I haven't setup the dual SIM on iPhone yet. But very familiar with it by using Dual SIM Samsung Galaxy phones which had this technology for years. Talking from that experience.

So if I have two active esims for two different Xfinity mobile lines on my pro15, I can tell my phone to disable mobile data on one line since only one of my lines is unlimited?

I still need to check iPhone specifics on this data setup with multiple SIMs. But yes, I was able to disable data on specific SIM on Android and keep just one active.

It's been 30 hours since I called X mobile to Port Google Voice number and still don't have service on new iPhone 13. Wondering if I messed up the port by deleting the number from my Google Voice account before waiting until Port completed?
It takes upto 72 hours and in my case usually the end of 3rd day gets it done.

Yes, you get to chose which esim would allow cellular data and chose switching as 'No'

I called the customer service to see if they can transfer my old number to the eSIM2 of my new phone. I was getting mixed responses. 2 out of 4 tech support guys told me it is possible and one of them even submitted the request and said it will be done in 24 to 72 hours. The other 2 out 4 tech support guys said Xfinity mobile doesn't support dual SIM yet. they are working on getting it worked and may be available in early 2024. So, the final conclusion it is not possible to have 2 numbers on the same phone with Xfinity Mobile network as of now. Frown
This is not true as I had problems getting my Google Voice number ported. I chatted online and they thoroughly messed up my account. I then went in the store to see if I could get it fixed. They assigned a temporary number until my GV number ported. It was setup as a bring your own device and new phone number. When my google voice number ported it ported under my main under the main contract and left the BYOD number as the second number. I also have it setup for the pay by GB plan for $15. The way it looks now is that both numbers will share the same 1 GB of data which is not a big deal as this is not my main phone.

That's good information. I wonder the store has different type of access on this. As I told you, 2 out of 4 CS techs said dual eSIM can't be used with Xfinity network as of now. But other 2 out of 4 was confident it is possible and one of them even set it up. But never completed. In the last call I made, I was told that request did not get completed because that facility is not available with Xfinity Mobile now. The whole tech support seems poor. I almost gave up on it and thought of checking again early 2024 as they said it is expected to work by that time.

If you have both eSIM working with 2 different numbers, I believe there should be a way to disable cellular data on one of the numbers from Settings.

Thanks for your post. I was able to get help from Chat agent and could transfer the old number to eSIM2 of the new phone. Amazing. Now I can use the new phone for the old number as well. Marked the old number as my Primary one.Smilie

So is it using the same phone plan as the eSim 1? So one plan per phone and not per line?

Glad it was able to help
