A54 can't touch this, less ram, horrible processor. And missing some sensors. The A series is not in the same league as this.

I have this phone. I got it on the Metro Tmo deal.

Its perfect for my needs. I switched/downgraded from iphone 14 plus.

I'm not a huge picture person but the photos are adequate. I only take pics of documents and stuff I sell online and it gets the job done.

Its a very snappy, fast phone, just as fast or even faster than my iphone (s23fe has a 120hz screen). Battery life (on power saver) is good. I'm not a power user, but I get 3 days (just like the Iphone 14 plus) before I need to charge.

Still getting used to android again. iOS made things a lot more simple to do and more intuitive. But android has everything you need as well.

Fingerprint reader is good even with a screen protector. Face unlock works good but not like FaceID.

If you get the unlocked phone, take your Verizon Sim card and put it in the phone BEFORE turning it on. The phone will configure itself to Verizon network and should work. You will not have any of the Verizon apps though not sure how much that matters to you. You can flash Verizon firmware if you want the apps but that is a more convoluted process.

128GB with no expansion is an absolute joke for 2023. What use is a great camera when you literally run out of storage? It's the same shit with all the Google pixel phones. Beast of a camera, useless in practice.
You should ideally store your videos in the cloud. Too much risk keeping it on the device only in case you lose the device. Once in the cloud, you can delete the videos off the phone.

There are many complaints about "Qualcomm SM8450 Snapdragon 8 Gen 1" - overheating battery drain. This is probably the reason for this sale.

My old s21 fe had the 888 and the battery went from 100 to 86 in about a year so I'm assuming this is going to have the same issue since the gen 1 is trash compared to the gen 2 and samung won't underclock since it will affect performance so I can probably guess this might be the last FE from samsung since the higher end chips are too expensive and samsung won't bring ex to the states.

Sucks because I like wider phones that's easier to type on and my iphone 13 pro is too narrow and I miss the number pad on the keyboard.

IOS doesn't allow that

Although I have no experience with this particular model and cannot confirm. The unlocked model should have eSIM or dual SIM support. US carrier locked version such as Metro should only support 1 SIM. This is based on past models such as the A53 and S21 FE.

And of course unlocked should have Verizon compatibility where the Metro version will not.

Both the unlocked version and the metro version have a physical SIM card and an e SIM

The Metro version can also be used on Verizon after unlocking, but 5G is limited and only 4G can be used.

If you find it in stock, there is another thread. You get one month of service with Metro, you do not autorefill. For the first 6 mo it can only be used on Metro. After that it unlocks and you are free to use on whatever carrier you wish. I am not sure if you have to call or there is an unlock app at 6 mo. The other thread has a lot of info

the garbage SAMSUNG foundry chip for the SNAPDRAGON 8 GEN 1 still makes this a terrible value

that thing will cook the phone and kill battery life... SAMSUNG is just getting rid of overstock
