Decent, but I think below is better. For $50 more you get better screen, and slightly faster processor:

Keep in mind that the build quality on this one is better reviewed. From my personal experience looking at these in store the legion seems cheaply made.

For $1300, I would get the i9 with 32GB from Costco...

Am I missing something? How is a 300nit display better than a 500nit display?

I don't see brightness listed anywhere for this laptop.

*PC Nood* Any thoughts on this for $100 less:

https://www.costco.com/hp-victus-...550a82b836

Appears to be an ≈11% loss in the processer, but a 16% gain with the 4070 GPU. Looking for a good laptop for 3D scanning and hobby video/photo editing.

It was delivered yesterday. It's a chonky beast, would not be fun carrying it around every day, it's definitely a desktop replacement. Build quality seems great. The fan is quiet even when it is working.I was able to play Cyberpunk 2077 on Raytracing Ultra settings at around 80-89 FPS mostly, but there were some dips down to 62FPS. I just got it last night so I didn't have much time to do anything else. The speakers sound good but obviously there is zero bass since they're little laptop speakers. It also has very little bloatware which is nice. I am definitely satisfied.

Maybe the panel is a bit dimmer at the top edge due to viewing angles... I need to take a good look at later today. (Took another good look at it, the panel is fine, no dimming issue.) I did need to use a high-end HDMI cable to get it to use my TV as a second monitor. The cheapo cables that I have lying around did not work.

I ordered a 2TB WD Black m2 SSD off Newegg (on sale) to upgrade the storage, it has two m2 slots so you don't have to replace the existing system drive.

I'm trying to verify that it works with 64GB RAM even though the Asus site says 32GB max, which kind of doesn't make sense given the chipset. Crucial says it can do 64GB... I suppose I could just order it and try, then return the RAM if it doesn't.

The website says 500 nits peak brightness. Gotta scroll down through all the stats.
