Why wouldn't you just buy from Costco for 50 bucks more and have better coverage, not to mention have an unbeatable return policy? My last Wi-Fi set up from Costco crapped out recently after just under two years of ownership, and I returned it with no issues and bought a three pack tplink done deal
I just migrated my house to a new WiFi 6e network with the tp-link Axe7800. When I created the network, I kept my existing network names and WiFi password. When I turned off the previous router and turned this one on, all of my devices have found the network with no issues. I have 40 clients connected from various IOT devices and accessories. Hope this helps 😄
Dud, you going half way on this. Get one for every floor and u will be high speed the whole house. The basement with all the concretes and wall definitely need one.
Agreed. If I had 3 stories to cover (2 floors + basement), I'm 100% buying the Costco one at $70 more for the better coverage across the 3 floors. No brainer.
any issues with the M5? I have the M9 and thinking about adding to it but not sure which one.
anyone know any good sites that help describe the differences between each one?
No complaints, they have worked with very little maintenance for years (since 2019). I think there is a compare tool built into their site, go to mesh and check the ones you want to compare. https://www.tp-link.com/us/deco-m...ct-family/
Any efficient way to migrate all your devices from a previous network to a new one if I get a mesh?

All major companies manufacturing in China closely review the product they receive to make sure the hardware is exactly as engineered. They also write their own software on top of that hardware.
Mainland China-based companies have no such hardware or software review independent from the dictates of the Chinese Communist Party.
I have 3 of these (XE75), one installed on each level of my house. They have been solid, with semi-regular firmware updates. They can be managed by the Deco App or web server interface. I first used them as a router and now in AP mode with GbE wired backhaul. I see real world speeds of 500+ Mbps Wifi 5, 650+Mbps Wifi 6 and 950Mbps Wifi 6e.
If you have 1 Gbps or less speeds from your ISP they are a good fit. Anything faster, and the XE75's 1 GbE ports will limit you if you use wired backhaul. I haven't tried the 6Ghz link, it may be faster, IDK. They also have XE75 Pros with a 2.5GbE port in case you want full 6e speeds.
I haven't updated my router/Wifi for past 5years. So picking up the AXE-5400 mesh to support more devices. Do I need to update my router too ? I'm using the router provided by spectrum. TIA.

I have both. The main difference is that the M9 has a dedicated wi-fi backhaul. If you use Ethernet backhaul (which is very highly advised) it makes them relatively equal. I have 5 of these covering my home and detached garage, all connected via a gigabit switch, and have been working great for about 4 years.

100% agree with this. In fact yesterday I returned an orbi rbk50 set I bought from 2018. They asked me what was wrong with it and checked the serial number matched the box and receipt I kept inside the box and kept inside a closet. I said the wifi slowly over time kept dropping signal. They said ok and gave me back $180. then went back to store and got the ax5000 to link deco 3 pack (not on sale.. but who cares it's Costco return policy)
It is 70 dollars more and I don't have a finished basement. I am thinking now about returning Amazon one and getting Costco's. I have time till Monday!

It's no different from the Huawei 5G ban throughout Europe and the US. https://www.reuters.com/technolog...023-09-28/
I also didn't say anything about "Made in America." Taiwanese, Japanese, Korean, all great. Don't be glib.
As informed as you are, you do know European investigators claim to have found no evidence that huawei devices have any tracking malware, do you?
And you do know the whole Huawei ban is a government powered anti-competition when local companies cannot compete in this open market, do you?
