Yeah, there's a premium for all Jurassic World/Park sets because of the dinosaur pieces. The two in this set are listed for ~$40 on Bricklink. Factor in the 6 minifigs at $3-$5 each, and the price makes sense. If the kid likes the movies and Lego, it may be worth the price. They're really expensive, boring dinosaur toys if the kid doesn't love Lego. For the price, you could get way better dinosaur toys.
Set piece to display with one or two other Jurassic Park sets? Sure.
Play set for a kid? Ehh, maybe if the kid's into dinosaurs, but at $90 you could also grab 6 Star Wars battle sets and have a mini army fight it out. (Just an example)
