My first comment ever!

Looks like the prices also dropped for the LG Partner Store and it is now $719 + tax. Signed up with my work email and ordered one. YMMV.

This or the Costco? Samsung CRG 9 deal? I'm using for work with poor integrated graphics, not gaming, so I can't take advantage of the high refresh rates.

Oh good. The text in this post is wrong.

"Resolution:

Recommended Resolution: 3840 x 1080 @ 60 Hz
• DisplayPort / USB-C - Max Resolution: 5120 x 1440 @ 60 Hz -

Yeah, OP copy and pasted from the wrong listing it appears. those first resolutions are 16:9, not 32:9. which technically I guess you could do with this monitor- except maybe the 2160p would be 1440p.

I have this monitor, it's been really great for gaming and general usage.

$800 through BestBuy as well. I'm wanting to get a 49" primary for productivity and secondary for gaming. I'm kind of confused and overwhelmed by all of the similar options on market. If I'm wanting to be able to read text is a VA panel better? Is it less likely to have burn in? Is the difference minimal so that the jump in gaming performance make the oled the better choice?

I find my 49-inch monitor to be a little bit overwhelming for productive use, but I love it for gaming

I take that with a grain of salt though, I have a pretty smooth brain

Other than anesthetics, is there any advantage to the Samsung Odyssey G9 QLED 49" over this one? The specs seem to be the same. Asking b/c I have the G9, love it, looking to get a 2nd one for the fam, but if this is identical for a few hundred less...

I guess a 43" is perfect for productivity as it is kind of in the middle and takes lesser space but I am not sure the gaming monitors are the best bet for productivity.

I tried PUBG with the oled G9 and it was a bit too wide. Gaming with keyboard and mouse and haing to sit close to the desk you will be turning your head a lot.
