SlickdealsForumsDeal TalkPlayStation Store Black Friday Digital Game Sale: Final Fantasy VII: Remake Intergrade $15.99, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim SE $7.99, Star Wars: Squadrons $1.99 & More
Just a reminder to combo these sales with the PS gift card discounts for Black Friday. Target has 10% off cards starting Sunday. Amazon usually does 10 - 15% off with a Prime card as well. Costco usually does 20% (but sells out fast).
I ended up using the AMEX / Amazon points promo to buy $150 in PS physical gift cards for $90. Which means a 40% discount on all the current BF sale pricing for me.
I'm not sure why anyone would pay $30 for the PS5 version of Horizon: Forbidden West, when the ps4 version is $20 and comes with a free digital upgrade to the ps5 version. There doesn't appear to be any difference in product, unless I'm missing something.
Also, the burning shores dlc is on sale for $13.
I bought Squadrons for $2 last year. Played it for 10mins in VR. It was fun, but never played it again.

No VR games from the last generation are backwards compatible with PSVR 2. A few of them have gotten PSVR 2 upgrades, but that's about it. That game is playable regularly (VR is just an option), so it will still play on PS5 that way.
Why does Forbidden west ps5 version cost $30 and PS4 version $20? Isn't there a free upgrade anyway? Is PS hoping people miss that and buy the expensive one? The dlc on other hand is costly so complete edition is understandable.
Growing up, I played the crap out of X-Wing, Tie Fighter, and the later sequels. I was excited a few years ago when I first heard about Squadrons, but then disregarded it once I started reading reviews.
I picked it up for free somewhere along the way, can't remember when or where, but I finally decided to give it a shot a couple of weeks ago and have been surprised by how much fun I've been having in the campaign.
Can't comment on the multiplayer, but the campaign is worth it if you're into Star Wars and/or this genre of game.

Shame it doesn't work with PSVR 2 or I would pick it up.
Playstation store really needs to update their website...

Yeah I'll upgrade to PSVR2 the moment this happens (or a sequel is announced for PSVR2)
