The only time I use the RCN1 is if I want to cast the screen to a WiFi display for spectators.
Who does remote screen recording? You know there's a camera on the drone, right?
The RC range is perfectly fine. Never understood this argument. I can sit in my living room and fly half a mile away. It honestly feels miraculous. Walk outside if you need to go a mile for whatever reason.
Litchi, dronedeploy, etc; never use em. Sure, if you need that functionally it's a deal-breaker. Most people do not need or want to use a 3rd party app.
>RC range is poor (you can easily mod it for external antenna fix this)
>no side loading Litchi or Dronedeploy or any 3rd party apps
>remote screen recording is low res
I miss the big screen of a tablet. It's less convenient but better. I can easily cast the tablet screen to share also. The RC isn't wrong for everyone but I wish I had waited for the RC-N1.

May I ask how bright the screen is in the built-in screen controller? Do you have problem seeing the screen on a bright day? I am on the fence on which way to go -- built-in screen or not? I do like the separate screen as I can use Litchi and 3rd party app. I have never had a built-in screen controller to compare to. Anyone with screen built-in controller, please chime in with your experience and knowledge. Thanks in advance.

If you live in an area where you constantly need permissions to "unlock" to fly such as SoCal, the RC won't work until you tether it to your phone to get the Internet connection for the unlock code, so you'll need your phone anyway. Anyhow, I got the prior deal from Costco and decided I wanted the RC off eBay because it's less of a loss if it falls off my handle bars while cycling vs the controller with my $1k phone attached.
