The battery was fine but the night vision was non-existent. This is the same price as Prime Day and I returned mine because the pictures were pitch black at night.

Tbh that's pretty much all cameras, a breaker bar can pry open most smaller safes even.

The nice thing about this one is that it looks like the generic led lights, most wouldn't even know it's a camera.

I purchased this device during Prime Day sale along with 4 S330(integrated solar) cams.
The concept of this S120 is great but either the internal battery is too small or the solar capture/recharge isn't enough given I have to recharge it from the outlet every 3 or 4 days.
Device is in direct sunlight for about 7 hours. When the battery is depleted recharging via solar isn't sufficient so you have to take it down and charge from the outlet.
My S330s have been deployed for same amount of Time and have barely depleted 1 bar of battery life.
I have read that other users attached a separate eufy solar panel to supplement the S120.

Night vision works on mine; could it be a setting issue?

Anyone know if this has onvif support?
Nope. Best you can do is RTMP streams with Eufy cams. Even that is not always continuous. Go with something like amcreast if you want ONVF support.

Sounds like a defective unit. See review photos - night vision works fine.

While I don't have this model I do use 4 eufy devices ( two WiFi solar exterior cameras + inside 360 view one + wireless deadbolt ).

For me they have been super solid and stable, my use case is for houses we have bought and are prepping for rent. The door lock has temp.codes and all the stuff I have is WiFi, I just have a mobile hotspot (legacy att unlimited deal for $20 a month, but it's only 4g LTE). What I dont like is lack of cloud storage ( I think I can pay more, but the alerts are fine ). I've yet to have a theft but the real nice use case is contractors or things like "hey did we leave the ladder there, or turn the lights off etc".

I do like the idea of this one as well though, but some of their models require the base station etc to do certain task so be aware of that.
Ditto. I bought this to try. So far no issues on my wired one. Using this near the trash cans where I don't have power.

sure, if you're a thief, you've got to assume the data is being stored in the cloud. so even if they steal it, they're still caught on camera.

Thus, they probably move on to the next house. That's the goal with all these cameras outside -- to dissuade thieves and robbers to choose a different home where their chances of getting caught are lower.
Feels like the days of thieves and criminals avoiding cameras are long gone. They just don't care anymore as they're wearing hoodies and masks.

Received mine today.
The camera and the night vision worked fine. The light is not strong enough but seems ok for door entry. Will share the walkway result.

We have been happy with ours. It is cloudy most of the week where we live. I think there might be something with your settings? We're on battery saver and I haven't had to take ours down since I installed.

Yeah I have had 2 for the past month. Michigan not the best sunlight. One facing west with a litte south exposure and the other facing south. Haven't dipped below 90 percent ever and I have the detection set to one below highest level and human only notifications. Set to optimal surveillance recording. Wifi high strength for the signal though. That's with kids playing almost every day in it's FOV. jhodge00 almost certain you have a faulty unit. I would return for another. Only thing that might explain it is weak wifi connection and high high use? Even then...

Solar charging doesn't have enough amps and the panel definitely doesn't have enough voltage to keep it above ~20% if it's ever cold or over used

Could also be the angle just isn't appropriate before other things start carrying shadows on it to stop it from charging

So is everything that is installed outside of the house, it's not a new discovery, what's the problem?

Does this require a hub or base station?

i would think pairing this with a motion floodlight would make sense as that could illuminate things better and draw attention away from the camera here.
