But for my own tastes, I'd rather own something a bit more modern looking. Personally I'd pay the additional $150 for the Thomasville Anacortes if I were buying from Costco right now.

In terms of durability, I'd be a bit concerned about the poplar table. It's not known for being a super durable wood, once the finish starts to wear down. I'd like see solid oak or walnut table, but that would be 2x the price.
But for my own tastes, I'd rather own something a bit more modern looking. Personally I'd pay the additional $150 for the Thomasville Anacortes if I were buying from Costco right now.
