So compare this to other 4070 laptops available at $1k. It's the other features you want to look at - the mechanical keyboard, all-metal build, screen quality and brightness, etc.
I would personally love a laptop with a 6800M - but this one has some big issues.

Only way laptops will ever beat a desktop is if they ever figure out a better battery and also superconductivity. Small form factor and heat will be solved if they can find a room temp superconductor. Until then we will have to live with heat problems in laptops.
