I bought a couple of these monitors in the last sale a month ago, and ended up returning them. I was kind of on the fence. It's a decent enough monitor. The negatives to me:
- At only 300 nits, it's dimmer than my 6-7-8 year old 27" LG IPS 4K monitors. That was a bit disappointing.
- No HDR support in 2023. Not even HDR10. (Sadly, LG won't support HDR10+ because it was invented by Samsung / Panasonic, even though they give it away free to whomever wants to support it.)
- No Display Port (most people won't care about this)

If you can live with those compromises, it's a beautiful, nicely designed monitor with a good stand.

LG does has an older model, the 43UN700T, that goes on sale for roughly the same price regularly. That model supports HDR10 and goes up to 400 nits.

For those that care, refresh rate is 60hz and response time is 5ms.

I've returned mine yesterday. It was mainly the bad pixel clusters issue (bought used good), but no display port was the additional straw.

Also perhaps I was expecting too mcuch but it was thicker than expected.

One surprise - monitor sits in a boxing with its screen side facing outward. Hard to understand the packaging design logic, especially getting one with bad pixels.

Isn't 4k too big for 43'? I only used 32' 4k monitor but would this just be too much? Would having two 32' 4k monitors be better than one 43' 4k?

No, 43 inch is the ideal size for 4K (100% no scaling) from a normal distance. On a 32 inch 4K text would be too small unless you sit very close to the monitor.

Any thoughts on this vs the Neo G7 43" for productivity application?

I'm using a 43" Insignia 2160 display smart tv as a monitor and at $150 it displays all my games very well, including FS 2020 at high settings.
Thanks for the tip. Question did you purchase the F30 model ? Also how does the monitor work for general productivity like text, spreadsheets , charts and things like that thanks ✌🏼

It's in Chase Offers. Log into your Chase account and find Chase Offers on the right side of the page. For me, the offer was:

Earn 10% cash back on your LG Electronics purchase, with a $75.00 cash back maximum.

Nice write up. Unfortunately it appears the older one doesn't have the same stand as the newer one.

How to get that membership? Do I just register at LG site?
Did you get an answer to this? I assume the membership price is limited to special partners.

Precisely. The older one has a stand designed for a TV, not for a monitor. Also, the older one is VESA 200mm, not 100mm, so you'll need a converter (c. $15 on Amazon) to mount it on a regular monitor arm.

Yeah, that surprised me, too. Someone here wrote that they bought a few at his workplace, and several arrived with a broken screen given said curious packaging design decision.

I liked the deal but need hdr and really dp. Would be nice to find a $400 alternative to a 42" lg c2 or c3 that on sale go for $800.

Totally. Those will be $600 next year, $400 two years from now on Black Friday hopefully. OLED is coming down in price fast.

I think I'm good with my old 27" 4K IPS screens for now. (Those also cost $365 on sale back in the day, now they cost $200 on sale.)
