Gran Turismo 7 is one of the top few titles in terms of immersion and taking advantage of what the hardware has to offer.

I've been thinking of getting one but does it make your eyes weaker?

If you're a Star Wars fan and like spaceship combat you must get Squadrons. For $2! Come on. Full single player story campaign and multiplayer. And It looks excellent.

What type of games do you like? Walkabout Mini Golf is great
So I grabbed GT7 today on the $30 deal. Also going to grab that RE Gold digital bundle for $30.

After that I'm really open to anything that's on this list as these prices look really good.

I'm considering jumping into VR. how does playstation' implementation compare to steam and other VR sets?
It's a lot faster to just jump in and play a game. And you can pickup right where you left off in a game without any hassle. The headset is also more gamer friendly. It has fan in the headset to keep your eyes from fogging the lenses up, haptics in the headset itself which is cool, eye tracking which is amazing in games like Synapse, HDR in games, the list goes on.

The biggest drawback is that it's not wireless. Get an extender like this one for the headset and that won't matter so much:

Games currently on sale recommended other than what you're getting:
- Horizon Call of the Wild $30: We played all the Horizon content and then getting into this demo was AWESOME. So we're gonna pick that up at 30 bucks. It's the first VR game that felt like a video game instead of a VR game if that makes sense
- Moss 1/2 bundle ~$22: Everyone raves about Moss 1/2 which we're getting on this sale

Not on sale (yet) recommendations:
- Red Matter 1 and 2
- We really enjoyed The Last Clockwinder. Really fun for us to watch one another and help solve the puzzles
- Humanity (included in PS Plus)

I think early on you could contact Sony and get a free adapter that would allow it to work. You can only play PSVR1 (ps4) games however. A PSVR2 seems like the next logical choice - but a lot of games do not update to PS5... Meaning your current PSVR1 library would not fully port over.

A blunder by Sony... They should have helped devs get this conversion done. Provide to.tools or path. Pushed to make this happen.

So far I really liked Gran Turismo 7 and Resident Evil 8, must play for VR2. A racing wheel is almost a must for a real immersive experience for GT7. I got the Logitech G923, and that will probably be on sale for Black Friday, but it really feels like you are on the track, it feels amazing. I have to move my set up to my backroom b/c my living room is now blocked from baby fences and toys so I can't wait to play it again. It actually saves me money b/c now I don't feel a need to buy all sorts of expensive cars and going to the track, I can race it in VR! I've been told the cars feel like they do in real life by folks who have them.

RE8 is also a full video game in VR, and it's done really well. The environment makes me feel like the original RE in Spencer Mansion, and seeing it in VR is amazing. The shooting is also really realistic and cool. One thing that people don't realize is you have to get your VR legs when you first use VR, b/c your brain isn't used to moving in VR space. Using a fan overhead to move air, and also stopping when you start to get nauseous all help. You build it up over time, let brain get used to VR space.

I also really like Creed, it's not on sale but it's a great workout, like a serious workout. I'll be sore for 2-3 days, especially when playing online. My gripe is you can't save in the single player game mode, so you get super sore and can't finish the game.

I thought Horizon Call of the Mountain was really boring, didn't like this game at all. The climbing mechanics are boring and there isn't much freedom in the game. The shooting arrows isn't very fun to me either. Story is non-existent. Graphics are nice, but gameplay is what kills it for me.

Anyone try Red Matter 2? That will be the next one I try.

Thanks for that tip. The wire it comes with is too short. I'm moving my set-up to a place with much wider space and will definitely be able to utilize it with this extender.
