This is often brought up but most printers ship with starter cartridges that don't have anywhere near the output of the higher yield replacement consumables that they are quoting prices against.
However, it certainly pays to do the math and decide for yourself.

EcoTanks and color laser printers are very different beasts IMO. There is room for both, because they each excel in different areas, but an EcoTank is absolutely not all-around better vs a laser.
