Here's what won't work. If you have an extended grid outage and the battery fully depletes, when the grid comes back up the AC outlets will NOT turn on automatically. You'd have to be nearby physically to turn on the AC output. Your connected devices will not come back online if this is in a remote cabin for example. Some of the higher end Ecoflows have the AC always on feature though…

Anyone tested this as a UPS for PCs? I see the <30ms EPS listing. I've read people have had success with the standard River 2 and wondered if this "Pro" model worked as well?

edit to answer my own question: watched 2 videos and it looks like this will work as a UPS.

Is the one with 220W solar panels a deal also or should I stick to the power station alone?

I have replaced all my UPS systems with EcoFlow as the battery dies, only downside is the fan noise when charging.
Generally it does pass through of all the load needs, but these guys drain within a few days just running their own internal systems like display, management, wifi so I think they come on periodically to bump up their own levels.

You can set the max charge, what it needs is a drainage allowance so it can drain to x% before charging back to y% for example, drain to 60% before charging to 95%, then couple that with a time of day full charge perhaps i could set for something like 2am. Now it would charge to 95% everyday at 2 am and not run the fan all day unless it drops below 60%.

They are almost there, but it requires solar. You can let it charge by solar unless it drops below x% then it draws from AC, setting that level with no solar simply floats it at the lower level and running the fan topping off to that level a few times a day.

All my portable EcoFlow, including the small basic River 2 and the River 2 Max support always on. There is also a power restoration setting that could be used which is not applicable if always on is selected.
Perhaps older units don't, but check the "lab features" under settings if you don't see it on the main settings.

My River Pro does not support that lab feature but my Delta Pro does. If the River 2 supports it then it's different from the River (and good to know)!

I got one of these recently. With the X-boost on I was able to run a Keurig. At first the Keurig powered on, but wouldn't heat up. I updated the software and then the Keurig ran a full cycle.
