I am always tempted by these Uber one discounts, but I notice when I get Uber one I stop getting the good coupons for orders. And magically once my Uber one subscription expires they flood me with coupons.

Until u realize that we have been getting 40% off coupons once or twice a month for several years now, combined with gift cards deals and restaurants that don't mark up their prices, and it ends up being a slick deal. Plus great for the times where you actually use an Uber. I feel like it genuinely pays for itself

Uber Eats is a ripoff. Between the mark up on food and a bunch of made up charges, it's not worth it.

I have the Amex Platinum and I end up doing a pick up to redeem my monthly $15 credit. For $15, I get maybe $11/12 worth of food.

Uber Eats went from a great deal to a bad deal when they shadow banned me and a few others here from using promo codes.
Let's hear the whole story. Were these promo codes unintended for you or abused in anyway by chance?

When does this offer expired? Want to buy but rather wait until end of November.

Got a promo for 4 weeks free recently so I thought I wasn't eligible for this. But going to the Uber One tab in account I saw a 60% off offer.

Uber automatically put 3 use promotion in my Uber Eats profile almost every Monday (usually 40% or 50% off $25+ up to $15 off) and 2 use promotion in my Postmates almost every Friday (usually $15 off $40). No code necessary. The promotions appeared in my profile almost like clockwork (there was the occasional missed week or mediocre promotion that I skipped), I clicked claim, and I redeemed religiously. This went on for years.

This past October, an 8 use 45% off $25+ up to $15, including pick up, promotion automatically appeared in my Uber Eats profile with a 3 week expiration. This appeared along side the usual 3 use 50% off $25+ up to $15 off promotion in my Uber Eats and 2 use $15 off $40 promotion in my Postmates profiles on each of those 3 weeks for a total of 23 redemptions up to $15 per redemption over 3 weeks. Midway through using these, I received the error, "The promotion you picked couldn't be applied to your order" and the selected promotion vanished from my profile. The next week rolled around with new promotions and the same problem. I received the error, "The promotion you picked couldn't be applied to your order" and the new promotion vanished from my profile. Support was useless so I canceled Uber One and moved on with my life.

Even at this moment, there's a 3 use 50% off $25+ up to $15 off promotion which Uber automatically put in my Uber Eats profile that I'm not even going to bother trying to use because I already know I'll receive the error, "The promotion you picked couldn't be applied to your order" and the promotion will vanish from my profile.

To summarize:
  • All the promotions were provided by Uber.
  • The vast majority of promotions automatically appeared in my profile. No code necessary. No code to share.
  • Some promotions were sent by Uber Eats and Postmates by e-mail.
  • I practically never placed an order without a meaningful discount.
  • On weeks when Uber Eats or Postmates skipped or the promotion was mediocre, I turned to other food applications which also had discounts I planned to use.
I'm just not a profitable customer and I'm also no the only user on Slickdeals that Uber has shadow banned from placing orders with promotions.

There are also a few Reddit threads which describe the same phenomenon.

Didn't get anything for the last 3 years, all the coupons I found always not eligible on my account. Uber much enjoy me paying full for the 40% markup price.

This is all restaurant food delivery. I used door dash for years and it's the same and I switched to Uber eats and it still sucks but slightly less.

I cut out Uber and Uber eats recently. One of the best financial decisions I've made recently.

I also had 40 and 50 pct off coupons appear in my Uber eats app but got the same error when I tried to redeem them. Very weird since I don't order delivery often, mainly use BOGO offers and pickup.

For a reference point I was a month to month Uber One subscriber and had this deal. However it wasn't on the Uber app I had to find it under promotions in Uber Eats. I hope this helps! Thanks OP!

No offer for me. I rarely use UBER and I guess they are fine with that.

Doesnt touch Doordash

Uber Eats has some of the worst customer service of any tech company since 2000

The driver could smash your burger, the store could give you a pizza instead of a sandwich and Uber Eats will give you a $1.50 promotional one time credit for your inconvenience

Another great thing is Uber Eats changes the times on deliveries - if it is scheduled for 3:15 and the driver stops to take a shit - your food now will arrive at 3:45 according to the app. Not the case with other apps.

App = broken

Food prices = highest of all the apps

Customer service on wrong/missing orders = horrendous, terrible

Literally a trash app and trash service

Unless there's a coupon to pick up Uber Eats you would have to pay me to use their trash service and app
