I've been watching a particular cruise over the last couple weeks. For that specific cruise, this "sale" is actually more expensive than it has been for the weeks I've been watching.

We booked a Princess cruise to Alaska a couple of weeks ago at a much lower price than what this promotion works out to be. This promotion is on higher prices. I compared our prices with what this would work out to be for the same cruise next summer. This is not a deal.

That's why I'm looking into virgin voyages. Adults only. I hope they have a Black Friday sale.

If you want Carnival Cruise, it better to book during school months & especially not around holidays.

Princess is awful; the average age is like 70. The ship is completely dead after 10pm.

Done 20+ cruises. They are only a rip-off if you allow them to be. I just sailed on Symphony of the Seas, Oasis class cruise ship with Royal Caribbean on a 7 night sailing in the Western Caribbean.

My wife and I don't drink alcohol, we don't do the internet package because you basically have internet once you get off the ship at every port 5 of 7 days anyway, so why pay extra, just enjoy being offline on sea days, and we buy excursions through things like Viator, or just do our own thing.

My wife and 3 kids, 5 people total, left that 7 night cruise with less than $100 in extra charges, and most of that was just $5 t-shirts, and I stupidly forgot my fancy gel, so I bought some overpriced gel for $40 at the salon than the cheap $4 gel in the toiletries vending machine. We did $5 milkshakes with the kids 1 day.

There was so much included you don't need to pay for all the extra crap.

I've sailed Princess, NCL, Carnival, Disney, and RC. You can basically get through any cruise without the upcharges, though NCL, imo, REALLY nickle and dimes the hardest, and Disney is the easiest to spend the most money on because so much extra stuff for the kids that is just awesome has an extra charge... but in all honesty, Disney is a one-time thing only cause it's 3x the cost of Royal Caribbean for smaller more crowded ships lol.

You really can make cruising into a fun and affordable vacation, you really can.

My favorite cruise line has a Black Friday deal too and includes a beverage package
Not exactly free. There's a 20% gratuity charge added.

And Norwegian is known as the nickle and dime cruise line.

That's common with all cruise lines. Royal Caribbean is really bad about that.

My absolute favorite ships to sail on are the Royal Caribbean Oasis class ships.
It's funny how different opinions can be. The Allure (Oasis class) was the absolute worst cruise we've been on, and I wouldn't do it again for free (literally, as my time and travel/hotel cost isn't worth it). You're find many (most) of the experienced cruisers, especially those over a certain age, don't like the larger ships, and not just because of the walking. The kids love them though.

On a princess cruise as I write this. Save your money. It's lipstick on the pig which is Carnival. Nothing works (Wi-Fi down yesterday afternoon through morning- so the app required to do anything on this ship was inaccessible). Food is disgusting except for places that have a surcharge. Breakfast this morning seemed like someone had shoved it up their rear and farted it onto the plates. Only thing entertaining about the entertainment was making fun of it with fellow guests. List goes on…
That's complete BS. I've been on many Princess cruises, and they're really good. Comparable to Celebrity, and far above Carnival. That's like saying a Lexus is no better than a Toyota.

Princess is about as good as any. They do have older guests but also have a lot of younger guests too. I'm guessing you're young, so it seemed like everyone was old. If you want to see an older crowd, try Holland. And that's why we love Holland, since there are so few kids.
Celebrity and Princess the same age of guests.

It's one of the better cruise lines, but it really depends on what you're looking for in a cruise. Party? Lots to do? Family? etc.
One good thing about Princess (IMO) is the TV content, with free on demand movies. Royal Caribbean doesn't have that, at least not the last time I went. They also have Movies Under the Stars.

Kids on cruises is the absolute worst. And it's usually the most spoiled little brats, and their horrible parents, that are on them. Unless it Disney, please keep your disease spreading little entitled brats away from the other cruise lines.
