    The few experts I've seen say do not spray lube in the tracks. Do the roller wheel bearings and pin housings, hinges, and chain, though. I've used the WD40 spray lithium grease for this. It would be nice to get it in a non-spray oiler, because the spray can kind of makes a mess. Wrapping a rag around the area to be sprayed helps.

    Main diff is WD - water displacement. Despite popular uses it's not really a lubricant.

    This stuff is great for garage doors. I use to make the mistake of spraying the rails and was a huge mess. Other poster is spot on about wheels, pins, hinges etc.

    So I've read that liquid spray silicone is the way to go as it doesn't pick up all the crap like an oil based spray does like WD-40.

    I use a variation of this on garage door torsion springs. Helpful to wear gloves then spread it by hand to slow down the rusting process.
