Got a case for the kitties at my local cat shelter for the Holidays; thanks OP.

My local cat shelter actually complained when I got them several cases of Sheba that have the individual snap packs with peel off foil labels/lids. They told me that they prefer something easier to open like 9Lives or Friskies.

I guess their unappreciative complaining worked because now I'm buying these traditional easy to open cans. The cat shelter is lucky I didn't call them ungrateful choosy beggars but it's for the kitties so I held my tongue laugh out loud

This flavor was recently up to $31.60 per case of 40. Walmart is presently $30.48 for the same product.

I did a search at Ebay like you suggested and I see a bunch of scammy/$hitty sellers [ebay.com] selling 40 packs for $18.99 with free shipping like you alluded to.

However; I think you would be foolish to trust these low/zero feedback sellers. I prefer to have it shipped via Amazon at they are reputable and will easily refund/work with you if there's a problem.

I'm assuming that auto/system returns are not allowed for the cat food though as it is with all food based products. However, contacting Amazon's phone CS will get an easy refund and you will be allowed to keep the defective/damaged food product as well...

You're correct about Amazon not taking back damaged cat food. I actually delt with it last night (and the month before). Customer service refunded each time without issue, and I was able to salvage some food that didn't get destroyed by the delivery person.

There are legit sellers that sell it for less than $20, but listings change all the time, so I didn't want to send you a specific link. If someone sold you something that is expired, I would just report to Ebay, but I've never personally had any issues with it.

There are sellers that aren't scammy and have a fair history of reviews. Listings chance throughout the day though, with new sellers or products selling out, so I would just check back off and on until you see a good seller for under $20.

Unfortunately you can't seem to trust Amazon for cat food. Bought three of the previously listed 24ct cases, Bought two cases of the 40ct. One of them came smelling horrifically bad. Dented cans in all, but no busted cans. But the smell was unlike anything I can explain. Contacted support, refused an exchange or refund. Hesitant to buy anymore canned cat food from Amazon due to this potential. My heart goes out to the delivery driver who had to keep that in their truck all day. I thought maybe the cans just got hit w something else breaking at the warehouse so I dumped them in a soap bath and soak n cleaned em.... The smell persisted. It...is.....horrific.... So had to toss em.

was it the 40 count or 24 that came with the smell? Purina seems to be shipping many boxes with dented cans but they are just from impact correct? Also amazon has been tough lately and arent great on returns they even keep charging items that they claimed they dont need to be shipped back and its a hassle.

With the 30% discover it comes down to 17$ and change. Thats not bad is it assuming the cans will be "good condition".?

Are you buying from the Sri Lanka/ Vietnam listings or US based?
