it's significantly better than the Quest 2. The display is much more clear due to the pancake lenses. Owned the 2 for years, and was always readjusting the headset to find the tiny sweet spot that was crystal clear. The Quest 3 is always clear across the entire field of view. I'd try to get one at a discount instead of going for the 2.

i paid this same deal like 2 years ago for the quest 2, not really that good of a deal since the new one is out. I'd wait to see if you can score a deal on the 3 in a few days.

I own both.

I LOVE the Quest 3 and I'm super happy I upgraded. But, for 1/2 the price the Quest 2 is OUTSTANDING. Even if on paper it's "twice the hardware"​, I'm not convinced it's twice the experience/fun.

For anyone looking to get into VR gaming, the Quest 2 is still very viable and a great device for $250.

No, the extra space is not useful. You could easily install the top 20 games and have room to spare on 128gb.

Meta apparently has reduced its forecast at least by 10% due to Apple Vision Pro although the Vision Pro will be in a completely different league.

Why are they even still selling the 2 if it's so meh? I'm really on the fence with 3, $499 is a lot for a paperweight after my son loses interest, and is it really twice as good? Maybe they should incorporate some utility or actual usefulness with such a price point. Seems like this may go the way of hd dvds unless Zuckerberg gets a clue and fixes the issues with this platform
