Just grabbed this the other day, and it appears there's a deal on it again. Clip the coupon for $34, and it brings it to $55. You can go into the settings and change the audio delay to 300ms down from 1000, and the delay is tolerable. I had the version 3 for years, and needed another for my company car, and i love it!

This is for the cars that already have CarPlay and google auto. The only thing it does is allows you not to plug in your phone using cable- which is not required in the newer cars anyway

Won't recommend this. I see it disconnects frequently and freezes. Missed many exits because of that. Finally took it out and using wired.

I bought this on the deal posted a few weeks ago. So far no issues at all on a few long(ish) drives and plenty of short ones.

Did you try updating it? Most of the time updates fix the disconnecting issues, if you're still having issues, contact the company/exchange it. You shouldn't have that issue. I had it with version 3, after updating, no issues. I immediately updated this one when I got it, and haven't had any issues.

I updated firmware and it's been great. We have ios and android users, having switch cables was a pain and this has solved. Freezes and disconnects every now and then but not often and not enough to be annoying. Connects quickly .

Wonder if this has any improvements over the 3.0 adapter? All I use is CarPlay.

Is there any difference between the Carlinkit 5.0 with green colored text vs blue colored text in terms of hardware specs? Performance? Or just simply cosmetic?

I have the 4.0 version, it rarely works through the entire 1-hour commute without crash and reboot.

Second this, it wouldn't connect at all for me until I upgraded it. Don't try updating it with an android phone though, I wasted a day on that until I grabbed my work iphone and the update went through without a hiccup.

I used this on a 10 hour commute from Alabama to North Carolina, and didn't have any issues, it stayed connected the entire time. Definitely check for an update, that may resolve your issue.
