Does data transmit through the Backbone USB-C port? For example, if I wanted to dock it and display through a TV, or if I wanted to connect it through a PC capture card to record or stream.

It looks like the black version does not work with ps remote play. Does the white version work with Xbox game pass.


edit: confirmed that the White edition works with everything and that Black edition does not work with PS remote play

Yes it does. It baffles me that the black version doesn't work with Playstation Remote Play. The white version does work with Xbox. Why would there ever be a difference??? who knows

So I picked up these newer V2 controllers today so that I can take advantage of the pass through usb-c port. Brought it home and compared with my V1 that I picked up three weeks ago. Turns out, I already had the V2 and it was the same deal that was posted for $50 at Target. Lesson? Check yours if it was purchased in the last 2 months as you may already have this, and got it for a better deal at Target when it was dropped to $50.

The previous version had USB C as well, unless it was for Apple phones (Lightning).

2. Using your Backbone One, plug in your phone and open the Backbone App.

Tap on "Controller" and then "Controller" again
The Model number is "BB-51-P-B" or "BB-51-P-W" for 2nd generation controllers"

Thank you for this. Confirmed the model number is BB-51-B-R. Also in the box, it says it's V3. Manufactured 03/2023
