I got a BB-51-W-S v1 with a MFG date of 08/2023 which is just around the time the gen 2 ones were announced. Yeah confirmed it's the V1. Agreed with a comment too that buying online on Target is hit or miss as they can't distinguish between V1 and V2. Lastly, it seems android users are screwed as you need to buy the playstation remote play app for 5 bucks. Iphone users, the app is free.

I'm seeing the PS remote play app as free on the Google Playstore. Or are you referring to the price elsewhere?
