"There may be a $6.00 finance charge to use Zip."

You must use your debit card with Zip. That means no credit card protections and no rewards from using credit card.

Plus the risk of having to deal with Newegg if there is a problem with the purchase.

no thanks.

true. still a pretty amazing deal if you're willing to sign up for zip to save a few bucks. Personally i'd pass but for some people it would be worth the trouble

I ended up purchasing this laptop and had never used ZIP before. It was incredibly easy. The poster above was incorrect. I was able to use my credit card with ZIP. You just can't use one from Capital One (maybe a few others as well, idk).

Total after tax and the $6 fee was $419. Came with free shipping. Since paying via ZIP it split it out into equal monthly payments for the next four months. Immediately following the transaction though, I went right into my ZIP account and paid off each remaining payment so I didn't forget about it. I'm supposed to get my laptop Friday. Pretty excited because the specs seem pretty good for the price. Haven't used Newegg in awhile, and I get the reservation due to past issues with them, but I took a chance because of the price and specs. Hopefully all works out. It's gone pretty smooth so far.
