For those having trouble seeing the deal...

If you are an active subscriber / canceled within the past 30 days, then you'll need to logout and create a new account.

Yup! After you pay the 99 cents, you'll be taken to an add-on page and that's where you add the Disney+ subscription for $2.

The painful part of jumping back and forth between two accounts every year to get this deal is re-populating your watch list and losing tracking of what you've watched within the app.

Ads ? Shouldn't this be free?
Hold the line.
I hate ads too but how do you think the content creators will get paid? It's either subscription fee or ads.

Are people seriously watching stuff with ads after paying $8/mo for it?
Better than paying $50 a month with cable to watch stuff with ads

The Max add-on was same price as Max regular rate if you book it directly through Max. I was billed $17.98 first month for Hulu, Disney, & Max - and $18.98 after (not sure why the dollar dif).

There's no extra savings for adding on Max - it only adds value to me because the charge will show up as Hulu not Max, making it eligible for the Amex Platinum streaming credit (they won't reimburse a Max charge). I would keep your current bundle if you can,.
If I get the $1 ads version of Hulu, can I attach the no-ads version of Max to the Hulu account for $15.99?

I think that's what you're saying. I'm also doing it for Amex Platinum credits but don't want to be stuck with ads on Max. (Don't care about Hulu) Thanks.

I had also signed onto last year's BF deal and sub ends 11/25, renewal at 10.98 per month. Could I effectively still get the $7 Amex credit off this "plan" (by swapping payment to Amex) since it's more than the 9.99 charge per month? If so, then would only really be paying about $4 a month but get to keep the Disney w/ no ads. Sounds like should work? I'd pay the extra $1 to keep the no ad Disney+!!!
When you attempt to cancel it should offer you 6 months of Hulu for 2.99. And won't impact your Disney Plus no ads add-on
$6 for both for 6 months

Hulu does have ads within the movie. I've seen about 2 ad breaks in the first half of the movie, then the rest plays without interruption. Might depend on the film.
Maybe they changed it. I remember googling it a few years back and replies on reddit and I seem to remember the ads were only at either end of the movie.

Checking on reddit now, it has been noticed. Might be a change or maybe they always had it but it was much less frequent than shows.

Clicking their button on the website doesn't do anything for me

edit: FWIW I tried a pc browser and it worked first try. May be worth trying that for those that can't get it to work
I tried both and couldn't get through
