With 3520 recent deal, don't have a USB C port.
For Inspiron 3520, most models don't get USB C port. They get two 2 USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports
For Inspiron 3520, Dell clearly explains that "Type-C™ port available on all configurations in Platinum Silver with an aluminum chassis. On plastic configurations, Type-C™ is available on 12th Generation Intel Core processors with NVIDIA® GeForce® MX550 discrete graphics."
It is a kind of hobby to replace parts of a laptop and to make it work better. Whenever I buy a laptop, I would open up the case and take out the part and try something on the first day.
If people spend $1200 on a Lenovo laptop, I can buy 5 or 6 laptops with the same cost.
