i just bought this to change my air filters and some higher shelves. if you plan on using it FOR ANYTHING ELSE this is NOT the ladder for you. It's plastic and does not feel safe.

I saw an all metal version at costco for $5-7 more. get that.
I'd have to disagree with you. I have the same one (from back in the golden age a couple years ago when it was slick for $10) and it feels plenty sturdy.
I'm not going to do plyometrics workouts on it but I've done SEVERAL OTHER THINGS besides stand on it to change a filter.
That being said, it's solid but nothing special. Didn't think it was slick for $25 but decent for $20 if that's the best you can do these days.
This isn't a ladder. It's a step up (no pun intended) from a simple stool. Get it for the people that like to use chairs just because they're convenient. I got one of these for the MIL for Xmas a few years ago because she was one of those chair people. I have something similar to this on each level of my home so there's no excuse for stacking shit to climb on only to fall and get hurt.

I see a COSCO brand at Costco, three step, looks substantially the same, $49. It says aluminum steps. Is that the one you are referring to? We can watch for sales. I do know the COSCO name and found it to be pretty good. I used a friend's Gorilla multi ladder recently and found it unusable with about 1" rungs to reduce weight. They dig in your feet after a few seconds.

Im suprised at the dislike here. I am a contractor and have a LOT of ladders but this one lives in my van and i love it because it folds down pretty flat and is sturdy and light. I have had many step ladders through the years but this oje is a great mix of light/small sturdy. I see lots of comments about popping noises and about plastic steps. I may have an older model though because mine does have steel steps, not plastic ones as some others have said this one has, mine is also grey in color not white. I got it via slick deals a few years back also at home depot.

By the way i have tried the cosco brand one that looks similar and i don't like it as much although they're similar.

For 20 bucks it's definitely a slick deal

I got mine and it isn't flush to the ground, it has a pretty significant wobble to it.

They also just left it at the door without any box or packaging.

So my question is this. People complaining about plastic steps. Well if it supports 225 pounds then who cares what it's made of? Metal is heavy. Plastic is light. I'd rather carry around something that's plastic and supports 225 pounds than one of metal. I know this because I have the 22 foot gorilla ladder and that thing is so heavy it's a horror to move around— to the point that I don't even use it unless I need something super sturdy or tall. Otherwise I will always grab my fiberglass ladders. Simply because it's so much easier to move around. Built like a tank? Yeah and it feels like one too.

Bought two, first time picked up in store and it was pristine. Second order oos in store so was shipped via FedEx and arrived beat to sh*t. Still a good value at $20, it's sturdier than I would have thought.
