I've had some other cheap Chinese dashcams, these aren't cheap, they work well, I use them when I do Uber. A lot cheaper than some of the more well known name brands and still has great features, the sensor seems to be pretty good but I don't know the brand. I wish I could have afforded the more expensive one, they had a Sony sensor on it, maybe next vehicle.
If you are in an accident there is a very big difference when showing the cam footage to police/insurance and saying "Look at this guy hit me and speed off" and "Look at this guy hit me and speed off but we can read his license plate clear as day"
I will always pay more for that difference.

Camera is better, better image in night and day recordings. App isn't very good as well. I prefer to just take out the memory card and load it into my computer.

Add a high endurance memory card and all set.
Seems the Viofo A119 mini 2 is the newer one and a little better than the A119 V3.

My A119 V3 is going on 2 maybe 3 years so far. I use sandisk HE cards as well.
The new Mini V2 seems to be getting good ratings so far.

Oh, and their custom service is clueless and unhelpful, to say at least.
Thats the point, people do not agree and many just outright lie.

(1) Had to buy a separate USBC-A-to-USB-C cable because if you use their cigarette charger, then you will have no ports available for other needs (phone, etc), unless you have additional ports in the car. I wish they did not bundle the cord with the adapter and just gave the plane cord. The problem I ran into was that every long USB-C cord I tried was almost twice as thick as the original cord, so it was more difficult to hide than it should've been. Also, I got a 15-feet cord, so maybe that's why. It was a bit longer than needed, so maybe a shorter cord would also be thinner.
(2) I do not like suction mount. It already fell of the windshiled once, but after I reinstalled, it managed to stay for a couple weeks, so it's to be seen ho long it will last staying. I'd prefer a sticky tape to the vacuum seal. Also, since the mount holds electronic components, you cannot just replace the mount.
(3) There is no easy way to transfer videos to other devices. I wish it came with an app that would allow video transfers over the air without the need to take out the micro-SD card or connect a PC to the camera. On the positive side, you can mark videos that you want to keep by pushing a button, so it gets save in the special folder, so you do not need to copy videos very often.
(4) For the GPS capability, you will need to buy an add-on. It's not very expensive, but it would be nice if it came built in.
Other than that, the camera seems fine and I have no regrets, but I only used it for a month.
