Not Garmin, but the Viofo A119 mini 2. It has the newest Starvis 2 sensor. Same 2.7K resolution as the E1. Check the newer reviews on YouTube.

Any dashcam with the Sony Starvis 2 image sensor is going to perform better than any of the old sensor cameras. It's the best dashcam sensor available at the moment. The A119 Mini 2 is best bang for your buck. It is easily one of the top cameras out there in capturing small details like license plates even at night. There isn't a better camera in terms of quality of images captured and cost. Form factor isn't the greatest though IMO.

Camera is better, better image in night and day recordings. App isn't very good as well. I prefer to just take out the memory card and load it into my computer.

Do you also have a rear dash camera or do you use two of these for front and back? These need to be on angled glass right? (Ie not like rear truck glass)? I have this vantrue e2 that I've been meaning to install for sometime...but may want a dashcam for another vehicle.

Add a high endurance memory card and all set.

Seems the Viofo A119 mini 2 is the newer one and a little better than the A119 V3.

Tried using their 129 for 2 years. They're not kidding about using high endurance cards. They destroy cards. They also run hot. Had all 3 die in two years. They customer service is fantastic, but I hated the hw experience.

My A119 V3 is going on 2 maybe 3 years so far. I use sandisk HE cards as well.

The new Mini V2 seems to be getting good ratings so far.

How do you guys route the cord for power? In 19' Civic, the front pillars are airbags.

I have a Vanture dashcam just died on me after around 20 months. I don't think the extra premium i paid gained me anything and will stay with cheaper ones. I still have an old generic dashcam that is going strong after almost 6 years.

Oh, and their custom service is clueless and unhelpful, to say at least.

Just beware. The camera is fixed facing the front. you won't be able to rotate it left or right. And it hard-wired to a cigarette plug instead of USB-C or USB. I dont know what they were thinking... Otherwise its ok

I live in Houston & over 50% of the drivers do not have insurance. Once you involve in an accident, a lawyer magically appears and sues for medical expenses. It's sad but you have to cover your own a**

I bought the N2 Pro Uber Dual version in October for the exactly same price (its regular price was higher but there was a semi-permanent coupon), so not sure how good this deal is. Usage wise, the camera is OK. I got the Uber version because I want to record both the front and back directions and with the uber version I do not need to install cables all the way from front to back. The major things that I do not like are:

(1) Had to buy a separate USBC-A-to-USB-C cable because if you use their cigarette charger, then you will have no ports available for other needs (phone, etc), unless you have additional ports in the car. I wish they did not bundle the cord with the adapter and just gave the plane cord. The problem I ran into was that every long USB-C cord I tried was almost twice as thick as the original cord, so it was more difficult to hide than it should've been. Also, I got a 15-feet cord, so maybe that's why. It was a bit longer than needed, so maybe a shorter cord would also be thinner.
(2) I do not like suction mount. It already fell of the windshiled once, but after I reinstalled, it managed to stay for a couple weeks, so it's to be seen ho long it will last staying. I'd prefer a sticky tape to the vacuum seal. Also, since the mount holds electronic components, you cannot just replace the mount.
(3) There is no easy way to transfer videos to other devices. I wish it came with an app that would allow video transfers over the air without the need to take out the micro-SD card or connect a PC to the camera. On the positive side, you can mark videos that you want to keep by pushing a button, so it gets save in the special folder, so you do not need to copy videos very often.
(4) For the GPS capability, you will need to buy an add-on. It's not very expensive, but it would be nice if it came built in.

Other than that, the camera seems fine and I have no regrets, but I only used it for a month.
