I got this 6 months ago, can't recommend it enough. Great extra peace of mind.

Oh geez -- this thing brings back memories. I don't normally chime in to poop on products -- but I've bought this thing. And it sucks.

It was honestly one of the most useless baby products we've ever owned. The sensors are crap -- even if you fit it on *just right* -- which, even if you do -- it just starts randomly beeping at you causing you to rush in because you think your child is dying -- except they're sleeping perfectly soundly but they've just somehow dislodged their sock because, well, you know, babies move and stuff. We used it for about two days with our first child, then shoved it in a closet. Would've sent it back except we were too sleep-deprived to do so raising a newborn. We kept it for a while -- hoping we'd have better luck with it with our second -- but no, it sucked just as bad the second time around.

Considered giving it away to other new parents -- but thought that would be just too mean -- so tried to donate it to Goodwill -- who wouldn't take it for liability reasons, so it ended up in the dump.

Now -- there are specific cases where your child may have a condition that necessitates this elevated level of monitoring -- plus any and all other things to worry about as a new parent -- but honestly, there are better tools available.

And in most cases this is one of those things that you can throw money at to think you are being a more on-top-of-it parent. But all it really does is raises ambient parental anxiety to an elevated norm.

Recent FDA response. For those wondering:

https://owletcare.com/pages/fda-response

We had zero issues with ours and it was great for our firstborn for that extra layer of comfort. Never had weird disconnects or any issues. We used it for the first 10ish months. When our daughter had RSV we had it on her 24/7.
