This was $100 cheaper with 512GB storage just a few weeks ago: https://slickdeals.net/f/17007073-lenovo-legion-slim-5-ryzen-7-7840hs-14-5-2-8k-oled-120hz-rtx-4060-32gb-ram-1244-10-free-shipping?src=SiteSearchV2Algo
A $100 increase certainly doesn't justify double the storage, imo.

Is there a reason people buy OLED screens especially when that means much less battery? Are most people using it by itself as oppose to connecting it to a monitor?

Now even if you use it like a regular laptop, is the OLED screen so good where you give up battery life for it?
Yes (better screen colors and backlight, less eye strain), yes (I mostly use it without a monitor), and yes (I mostly plug it in, and battery life is still good for a Windows laptop when not doing anything CPU/GPU intensive).

Imagine paying over $1300 for a laptop that only has a 4060...

As far as I know, this is the first compact, reasonably priced laptop with OLED and a gaming GPU. If you don't want OLED and don't need portability, you can get a cheaper, larger, heavier gaming laptop with superior performance and thermals, or a gaming desktop).

Got mine yesterday. Posted impressions in a more recent thread.

I knew I would get downvoted for my comment and that's fine, I stand behind it. Spending this much for a "gaming" laptop with a low tier graphics card is like buying a new F150 with the standard V6 option... Looks great, has all the creature comforts, great for a grocery getter, but fails if you actually want to do pickup truck things (towing and hauling) with it.

What do you recommend for a lightweight, compact laptop with a high-resolution OLED or mini-LED screen for light-to-moderate gaming as well as work/productivity?

For reference, the 105W mobile RTX 4060 can run Tabletop Simulator at 120 fps and Microsoft Flight Simulator with medium-to-high detail at 30-60 fps at the laptop's native resolution.

I went to buy this tonight, and the estimated delivery date was "between Fri. Jul 26 - Tue. Jul 30." So I guess I'll have to pass. Frown
