This sale happens regularly and the questions tend to repeat themselves.

So as a reminder I created the All-Clad Sale Pots & Pans Advice sticky thread over on the SD product forums.

You'll find answers to every common question that gets asked about this sale, and about the different All-Clad lines, and more. If you have any suggestions to improve it, please jump in!

Also FYI for this sale, note that the steamer insert is in stock [homeandcooksales.com], and at $36 after coupon, is at a very good price. This item hasn't been available at the outlet in a long time and I highly recommend it as an accessory for your 3 quart sauce pan.

Can't totally tell the difference in the two you posted, but from the stickied thread:

Anyone know if the 8qt stockpot is "D3"

Not sure why they wouldn't label it D3 if it was

Thanks for the info. I know these are final sale but is there any recourse in case the products get damaged during shipping? I'm weary about ordering pots and pans online after receiving severely damaged ones in the past.
Ordered from them several times. They pack your items really. Never received damaged items from them.

Just ordered a 4 qt Cuisinart multiclad SS pot earlier today with lid for $51 off amazon. On these pots, I really can't tell the difference between Allclad and Cuisinart. On large saute pans the Cuisinart may warp when the allclad won't, but smaller ones haven't been an issue and they cook the same to me.

I just purchased a set of D5 pots and pans at Williams Sonoma on a Black Friday sale. Prices for 1st quality were only slightly higher than these seconds. For example, D5 non-stick fry pans were $100 regularly at WS, but are $90 here for seconds. For $10, I'll get the 1st quality at WS.

I've never had to agree to arbitration to buy a pot. Gonna be a pass for me. Seriously what is that?
I've purchased from them on at least 3 separate occasions with no issues. I'm sure since everything is discounted they don't want to have to fight a legal battle over a $99 pan.

Pass them generation? Sure ...
One of the best investments I've ever made was in my 10 piece brushed D5 All-Clad set that I got at Macy's. With a extra lasagna pan and oven mitts and all the stacking coupons everything was $460 inc tax. Since then I have added on a 3 piece non-stick frying pans, a stock pot, and a couple other pieces. As long as you take care of it, some bar keepers friend every once in a while, they will easily last generations. Other then the non-stick stuff which does wear out I don't see ever needing to buy pots/pans ever again.

Non stick are throw away pans. It's only use should be for sunny side eggs.

$460 for an entire set of good. When I say $399 for a single 8qt pot, that's just robbery. I suppose nobody on SD would ever but it of course.

Folks, it should go without saying that just because a particular item is part of this sale doesn't make it a slick deal. If the savings is just a few dollars over a new item from a store that has cashback and easy returns, then it may not be the best deal.

There are also a lot of items from All-Clad that are always an ill-advised purchase (see the sticky FAQ thread). My advice is always to buy individual pieces, and not to choose All-Clad for every pan & utensil in your kitchen.

But these sales DO include huge savings on select items. It varies with each sale. You can build a high quality set over time from this sale that you'd never find for close to the same price anywhere else.

Yeah, no real point in buying non-stick from All-Clad. Just by stainless steel from them. Their non-stick pans aren't going to be any better than what Ninja or Oxo offer, they'll cost more (even on sale) and I don't believe they're made in the US.

Same thing with buying anything from Le Creuset that isn't enameled cast iron. There's no point.

The 8 quart stockpot that I purchased from the factory sale many years ago is D3.

I don't think All-Clad makes a non-clad 8 quart stock pot.
The retail price listed is $350, and that's the retail price of the D3 stockpot [all-clad.com].
So I think it's safe to say that this is D3 clad cookware.

PS this is a great all-purpose size for pasta and blanching and big soups. You can use it for braising and stovetop-to-oven dishes as well, but it's not a replacement for a cast iron dutch oven. If you're only going to get all-purpose pot of this size, I'd get a 7 quart enamel-coated cast iron dutch oven from Le Creuset or Staub. But if you have room for both, even better.

Got the 10" copper core fry pan for $108 with tax today.

Last time I ordered it, got the 8" sent and checked my email and 8" was ordered. I did not order the 8". Check your email to confirm after purchase!

I get that for only a couple of seconds. Could be something with the Slickdeals affiliate link. Have you tried typing in homeandcooksales.com directly?
