Yeah, because they've been giving away so many games and having such insane coupons that they've been losing gobs of money for years trying to become competitive with Steam.

The coupon is still good if you use it on newer games which haven't been on sale, if there are any you want.

Rumor has it Epic games only allows one discount per 30 day period to publishers, so most chose Christmas to use for the sale. This seems a bit backwards but possible.
