My apologies. I stand corrected. That deal expired earlier today.
For the first time in a decade OLED has made huge improvements with QD-OLED and MLA. I bought an LG G3 when the BF pricing dropped and it simply blows the A90J away. The improvement is not trivial.
The Samsung S90C is only $100 more and will provide a significantly better picture. If you're concerned about Samsung quality and reliability it's likely LG and Sony will start trickling down the new tech into their mid-level models in 2024.
The flagship Sony A95L uses Samsung's QD-OLED panels.
Only the 83" panels do not have the newest panels yet; maybe in 2024.
What we do know is it has been this price off and on for the last month as seen on this page if you're browsing it on your desktop.

I know the A90J is tempting but the processor is older and I don't believe it has XR clear. Get whichever is cheaper imo, same goes for LG C3, and Samsung S90c. All have their strengths, don't think you can go wrong with either.
The A75L has some downgrades when you compare it to the A80L, but the panel is essentially the same panel that Sony has been using since the A80J so it's semi matte/semi glossy. XR Clear is a great feature, but I wouldn't sacrifice a glossy Sony panel to get. I'm interested to see how the A80L 83" (rebadged A90J) looks in person, but another TV isn't in the budget right now.
BB had it for $900 and something the other day.
Nevermind that was a x90L. Too many letters and models, and sizes to keep up with. or maybe it's the same. idk.
