This is a duplicate deal thread with a lot of inaccurate information. The following thread will have all the info you need to know. Buy the phone, pay for 1 month of service to activate the phone, wait 60 days to unlock. There's no need to buy a second month of service as the first month starts the 60 day activation clock for the unlock. You can do a "rebrand" to Tracfone (instructions near the end of the thread below) and save some money on the plan cost if it's worth the time to you. I just did it. I texted 611611 and got an automatic reply back that my phone was eligible to be unlocked on 1/22.

The rep is incorrect which is not surprising since these people are probably the same people from Straight Talk.

Not to nitpick, but I think the deal requires purchase of 1 month of service at $30 in addition to the $99 phone. Still a good deal, just think the title should reflect all-in cost.

I may order this, but I won't be holding my breath, or counting on it.. The iPhone SE I "bought" via the Straight Talk website weeks ago is still 'pending remote fulfillment', and seems like most of the web orders have been cancelled.
