Many TSA lines have the ID-scanning machines now, eliminating the need for presenting a boarding pass. All I have to do is present my ID to the TSA agent and go. No need for the Iris or fingerprint scan, and especially those unnecessary "random" ID checks!!

I've got the saved chat, so I'm not terribly concerned about getting the credit. Will try and remember to update the thread at that time though.
This won't exist more than a couple more years at best.
There's literally posts just a few above yours saying otherwise, by people who found it faster, so weird claim.
Further, if precheck is closed (which it sometimes is) it's always faster to use CLEAR on a non-precheck line than not have CLEAR.
Again, weird take.
Has little to do with the deal in this thread though.
For folks who get CLEAR free via a CC benefit this is simple:
You get $75 in uber credit for $0.00 out of pocket.
AND
you get access to a program that MIGHT or MIGHT NOT save you a little time once in a while, but even if you never use it, still free $75 uber credit.
For folks who would be paying for CLEAR out of pocket- it's PROBABLY not worth bothering with unless you frequently fly in/out of places where precheck is often closed... (you MIGHT get time savings elsewhere, but it'd be rare it's enough to justify the cost).

1. Was a clear member and it was expired long ago.
2. Log into my expired member account, and see this $75 uber voucher promotion if reactivate.
3. Decide to sign up using my Amex platinum card on 11/15.
4. Amex reimbursed me on 11/16 (well done, Amex!)
5. However, it has been one week since and I received no Uber voucher.
Actually I haven't even received an enrollment confirmation email from Clear!!! The online profile does show I have active membership which will expire on 11/15/24 (remember to cancel the auto renew!)
Not pleasant experience. At worse, I lose nothing but my time, but not a great company from my enrollment experience.
As for it being a week since and not getting the voucher yet, I recall it taking longer than that for those who did the deal last month.

How did you let it "lapse"
If you are a fellow road warrior who travels multiple times a week and can get it free, sure, always good to have all the options. But for the casual traveler, don't bother.
Anyone else getting this?

Yep, the main point of Clear was that the longest wait time was the document check. Now it isn't with the ID scanners.
They are rolling out a new facial recognition program which is supposed to automate the process… let's see how it goes
