Many TSA lines have the ID-scanning machines now, eliminating the need for presenting a boarding pass. All I have to do is present my ID to the TSA agent and go. No need for the Iris or fingerprint scan, and especially those unnecessary "random" ID checks!!

Agree, I would never pay for Clear. Also Digital ID is a thing and so are these new TSA facial recognition scanners I saw at ATL.
Now that so many people have Clear, I love going to an airport and seeing people with Clear have to wait.
Pre-check on the other hand actually serves a good by speeding up security and the more people who get it, the better.

Honestly… I agree. I have been staying optimistic about it. My gf absolutely rated it a 0. Most times you can get through precheck faster… and now clear does random ID checks like every other 3rd person so that defeats the purpose. it will only truly help you if you are coming back international and you need to quickly catch a connecting flight.
Is CLEAR good for JFK/LGA/EWR/ORD/LAX/DFW/etc etc etc, yes it usually helps.
Is it worth having anywhere else? Not really.
So if you frequent out of Atlanta, Clear may be of help. Otherwise, it's really meh anymore.
Again if you can only get ONE yes get precheck (GE even better).
But if you can get both, for free, which people with the right cards can, why not do that?

The "clear" line and process is never faster than precheck, especially since the barrier is so low now. The listed deal is an awful deal and the credit card inclusion is the death of it.
This won't exist more than a couple more years at best.
