For those ordering things at monoprice, it's worth noting they sell their 10 packs for $10 (f/s at $39) with a lifetime warranty https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=38786& (at the moment two 6 packs is cheaper than a ten pack if one needs a crap load.)

Edit: I needed a shitload so: 8 6packs of the black 1ft mono cords costs $40 with free shipping (or if you qualify, with EXTRA30- 30% off any order over $50 two time use on approved products) coupon code 11 6 packs are $39 shipped,

Not looking to throw shade but the Amazon cords are 14ga (15 amp) and the Monoprice ones from the link are 16ga (13 amp). If you're just plugging in a lamp or something with light power consumption this likely won't matter to you but I'm pointing this out for those who prefer to get the heavier duty extension cords.

Aren't these typically used to offset "wall warts" (AC power packs) when using a surge protector strip? Also, to keep those "wall warts" off of the wall? For these purposes, 16 gauge/13 amps is more than adequate. I'd be much more concerned about them being UL or ETL certified!

[post deleted because I misread what I was commenting on. I wonder how much more I have to add before it's long enough to save...]

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Thanks for all the great deals!

they don't provide UL certification number to confirm their claim. and similarity they could be lying about thickness of the wires.
i'll trust monoprice than some flybynight Chinesium brand.

Not a fan of the angled flat plugs. Much prefer the full 360 swivel models. Yes, they cost more, but well worth it.
I get that those are handy but that rotation mechanism actually introduces another potential point of failure (technically 3 points on a grounded plug). Sorry but I used to dispatch for service techs and they always talked about points of failure.

The monoprice ones aren't flat. Depending on your purpose, they might work the same (say to keep a wall wart off a power strip), but they might not if you actually need it flat at the wall.

I have an airfryer, would monoprice be a better option? It takes around 1800W

I agree, the ones I usually get are UL Certified and have 360 degree rotation, but are twice the price of this deal. Should these be normal price I would still drop the extra money for the better functionality. I think I'll still pick up a pack of these since I'm sure I will find a specific use somewhere. Thanks op!

no, your air fryer user manual probably said that you need to plug the short cable from the unit directly into the wall.

i'll trust monoprice than some flybynight Chinesium brand.
Ironically, you're probably typing this comment from a 'chinesium' phone or pc made in china..

Dude, this dense argument always gets made and it's always equally nonsensical.

Surely you understand nuance, right? There's a difference between being made in China and having some type of brand recognition guarantee, vs that of a no-name company.

I haven't burnt up one yet (800+ watts)
Consider yourself fortunate (or perhaps the ones that you're purchasing are a rare exception). I purchased an extension cord at a dollar store. It had a 13 amp rating but no UL or ETL certification. I was curious, so I invested a buck. First tell-tale sign was that the wire was unusually flexible. I stripped the insulation to find just a few strands of wire! Nothing even close to what even an 18 gauge wire should look like! This cord was a fire starter for certain!....and that's how many fires are started! If ANY extension cord (or other electrical device) doesn't have a UL or ETL certification, it should NEVER be used! You'd be surprised at just how many electrical items (especially extension cords) are fire hazards! Saving a few bucks and then burning down your home makes zero sense!!

Who are they (since the post that you're quoting mentions two different products)? Those UL numbers aren't normally provided in the product descriptions. You need to either contact the manufacturer/distributor/seller for the numbers or purchase it and look up the numbers provided on the cord and the plug on the UL site. These are legitimate "UL" cords.
"Chinesium brand"? Where do you think the Monoprice stuff is produced?

These cords are legit for your purpose (especially since they're 14 gauge and only 3 ft.). I'm not familiar with the Monoprice cords but if they're 16 gauge (as described in the post that you replied to), I'd stick with these and avoid the Monoprice ones.
