For anyone that is considering this or the Amazon deal and doesn't already know the way the subscriptions work is very different.

With Amazon you are buying the subscription through Amazon and they manage it. Once you link it to your Adobe account your account at Adobe will list this subscription and say "managed through Amazon".
Also it will not stack with any subscription you already have. They will run concurrent.

The Newegg deal is much more straightforward and easy to deal with. Newegg sends you a certificate that you redeem in your Adobe account. The certificate will stack if you are already on the same plan. And, right now anyway, the Newegg deal is cheaper.

I made the mistake last year of using Amazon thinking it would be like buying the subscription from any other retailer. Never again.

I've bought this deal multiple times and you can just add to your current subscription in the Cloud Adobe account.

If you're someone like me who has been using the standard Photography plan (20GB) through deals posted here every year, I can confirm that it doesn't extend that. Instead, you end up with two concurrent plans: the Photography plan (20GB) and the Creative Cloud Photography plan with 1TB.

So I've been using Lightroom 3.6 for years to avoid the subscription model. Given Lightroom is now on version 13, should I make the plunge? Are there any must have features I am missing? I typically shoot on a Panasonic G3, but I am considering upgrading to a GH6. Thanks in advance for the guidance.

I was able to order a second year by buying from B&H. Same deal, same $30 discount. Thinking of attempting a 3rd year.

Seems like they have this promotion often. The same exact deal last happened just three months ago.

I had the monthly 20GB plan and just purchased this deal. As posted above I redeemed the new code to my account and saw two active plans. I clicked on cancel for my monthly plan, but it looked like it was going to cancel my entire cloud storage. So I used the chat feature to have the agent just cancel the monthly plan.
The agent canceled the 20GB plan (it was actually set to renew tomorrow) and now I'm on the 1TB plan.

Did you confirm you were able to extend it? If so it's not a bad idea considering how subscription services are increasing in price these days

Is it just regular photoshop or some photography version with less features?

And, is 1TB regular storage that can be used for computer backups or is it just to keep your edited PS or LR files?
They're changing it so you can only use it for photos not regular files

Anyone know if its only 1 per customer? Trying to see if I can extend mine to 2 years and lock in this price. All these subcription price hikes makes me wanna secure it. Don't need 1TB but the 20GB rarely goes on sale. I could purchase from BH Photo but not sure if it "mix and match" or maybe different product type because its from different vendor.

Anyone else contemplating of getting 2 years worth of subscription and getting the BH one? If you did, did you try it and did it extend to 2 years?

Lots of changes since then. It depends on how much you post-process your images though. Do you plan on processing raw or jpeg? Technology has changed a lot in 9 years, so for most avid to pro photographers the changes help a lot. Much better healing tools, much better masking tools, much better dynamic range control.

Where would you get a third year? Does B&H allow you to buy more than one unlike Newegg?

Yes, this is the way. Don't do what I just did. I'm trying to have it fixed now by Adobe support.
I am now trying to get this fixed as well. Two concurrent plans. I think they will have a lot of people with this problem, it's super unintuitive. Also talking to Adobe Support.

$2 less at B&H, and you can buy multiples. I extended mine to November of 2026.

Nice. I just gotta wait till sundown for Shabbat to end before I can order. Good to hear B&H isn't limiting orders. I even tried a second account for Newegg but same shipping but Newegg managed to still catch me and cancelled my order 😂

i don't understand why Adobe doesn't offer monthly sub. like I dont need Lightroom for a whole year. After a vacay, I just want to use it for like a month and call it done until the next time I need it.
