HA! I actually might have you beat - Samsung ML2010 (pretty sure I bought it before 2010) - great printer just jamming issues. Those were the days when laser printer were consistently sub-$100 and sometimes much less!

I have this printer. Good scanner. Good prints with ink.

I bought refill ink in a bottle for the cartridge and I filled it up to full. It still came out spotty. I think they have software that detects "this is cart #shc763, print 22/55" because I got ink all over my hands but ink never came out dark on the page once it hit low ink.

Unfortunately people also seem to fail to realize that the printer only comes with 'starter' cartridges with a fraction of the ink to start with.

Do generics not work well with it? I see cheap ones on Amazon?

I'm sticking with my 10 year samsung printer scanner. It cost me $11 to buy cartridges and last me forever

They might. I gave up on this printer. I'm on SD bro, I tried to go full value and buy an $8 bottle to refill (and accidentally spill) ink indefinitely.

I'm not sure. I don't try 3rd party ones because they can cause issues.

I've purchased similar printers on sale last year for $20 at Walgreens. I used them as disposable printers. Way cheaper then buying ink. I only printed 90% black and white copies from computer.
